- THE ACCOLADES -

- THE TALK -
"Klipsch's stock in trade is dynamics — sudden loudness shifts are unleashed with an ease that more- conventional direct radiating designs rarely muster. A by-product of that dynamic freedom is the ability to render the subtlest forms of musical expression. With two RB-75s rolling out the Stones' tunes, the line between home audio and the real thing was a lot smaller." —Steve Guttenberg, Home Theater Magazine, November 2003

"Unlike a lot of speakers that only give their best within a fairly restricted loudness range, this [RB-75] system had the rare ability to sound great at low, moderate, and high levels. I guess its purity/low-distortion sound has something to do with it."
—Steve Guttenberg, Home Theater Magazine, November 2003

"The Klipsch Reference RB-75 system doesn't just communicate the sound; it unearths music and films' underlying emotionality." —Steve Guttenberg, Home Theater Magazine, November 2003

“Those Klipsch [RB-75s] are ... unbelievable; these things can do anything.” —Musician Lou Reed, SmartMoney Magazine, July 2004

RB-75 Bookshelf Speakers
Klipsch has truly outdone itself by offering the ultimate power and detail of the RF-7 flagship floorstander in a bookshelf model. The RB-75 fills a room with brilliant sound while using minimal floor space. This new model expands the Reference bookshelf line and continues a legacy of best-selling, no-compromise sound. The easiest way to describe the RB-75 is simple. It rules.

The RB-75 delivers superior sound through an 8-inch woofer and a high-performance compression driver. This professional quality tweeter utilizes a 1.75-inch titanium dome diaphragm and an enormous 14-ounce video-shielded magnet. Among tweeters designed for home loudspeakers, our RB-75 high-frequency driver is unrivaled for clarity, efficiency and power handling plus has the lowest possible levels of distortion. In order to increase sensitivity while minimizing room interactions that blur sonic detail, the tweeter is coupled to an exclusive Klipsch square 8-inch Tractrix® Horn, which lends the RB-75 its controlled directivity.

The woofer on the RB-75 is an enhanced version of Klipsch's distinctive, copper-colored Cerametallic™ material that is even stronger than before. This cone is made of an anodized aluminum that makes it extremely tough but does not take away from its elegance. The anodizing process converts its inner and outer surface to ceramic. The result is a rigid cone with superb damping characteristics that will not flex or resonate at frequencies within the woofer's operating range. Driving this cone is a massive, video-shielded magnet and high-temperature, long-excursion voice coil, for high efficiency and deep, powerful, articulate bass without breakup or distortion. The RB-75 also has a front-firing, flared port that allows for easy placement in a cabinet or against a wall.

The RB-75 reproduces vibrant, lifelike sound due to a crossover network that uses extremely high-quality components, including top-of-the-line internal wiring, polyester film-type capacitors and air-core inductors. These parts are mounted on a premium quality fiberglass epoxy circuit board.

A contemporary selection of black, cherry or maple real wood veneers and a new sculpted low-diffraction baffle with an integrated horn gives the RB-75 a clean, stylish appearance. The speaker grille attaches with magnetic posts, which makes it easy to handle and more durable.

The RB-75 provides the ultimate adventure in sound because it realistically captures movie and concert experiences, putting listeners directly in the middle of the action.
